Reed Seifer: optimism

“optimism” is public art project Reed Seifer started in college. It stems from a childhood interaction with his father. More than 14 million “optimism Metrocards” were distributed in conjunction with MTA Arts for Transit. The project was included in the exhibition “Art in the Open, Fifty Years of Public Art in New York” at the Museum of the City of New York.
